Producer Traub, who was having trouble casting the role, discovered Cambor when she went to see a 2006 Los Angeles production of âThe Cherry Orchardâ starring Annette Benning. But Fox expanded the âAmerican Idolâ results show to an hour for several Wednesdays in April, a move that Traub called âdevastating.
