Health Official Resigns (New York Times)(Pregnancy News)

Eric Keroack, the head of the federal agency responsible for providing women with access to contraceptives and pregnancy counseling, resigned after Medicaid officials took action against him in Massachusetts. The Health and Human Services Department provided no details about the action. Keroack was chosen five months ago by President Bush to oversee the department’s Office of Population Affairs and its $283 million annual budget. His selection angered abortion rights groups because he had worked for an organization that opposes contraception. Massachusetts Medicaid officials did not return calls for comment. read more

ABC delays “Notes”; Fox advances “Kitchen” (Reuters via Yahoo! News)- About: Pregnancy News

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - ABC has moved back the due date of the pregnancy comedy "Notes From the Underbelly," the network said Wednesday. But "Notes" will uproot "Men in Trees," which originally was scheduled to return to the air in that time slot. Anne Heche ” /> Anne Heche rookie, which could still return in that slot if "Notes" underperforms. Replacing "Underbelly" in its original Wednesday slot will be "In Case of Emergency," which was originally scheduled to end its run on April 4. Over at Fox, "Kitchen" is moving its premiere date from June 25 to June 4 at 9 p. In addition, Fox is bringing back its fall drama "Standoff" on June 8 for new episodes that will air at 9 p. read more
