For women who work outside the home in jobs that require long hours of standing, the American Medical Association suggests modification so that a break is taken every four hours. Late in pregnancy a womanās ability to safely lift a load decreases, mostly because her center of gravity and balance have changed and additionally because the hormones of pregnancy have caused her connective tissue, ligaments and tendons to soften. Probably false, but before we go any further, let me just state that itās difficult to give precise, medically-based evidence on what strenuous work and length of work (be it a job outside or inside the home) does to pregnancy outcomes. Bands take stage at festival (The Morning Sun)- About: Pregnancy News

His mother, Sara Q - the name she uses in the all-female bluegrass band Nobody’s Darlin’ - played her mandolin during her pregnancy, the instrument leaning against her side. Sean Quashnie, Jackson’s father, held his son Friday afternoon, rocking gently back and forth, while listening to his wife and her band mates play a set at the Salt River Bluegrass Festival south of Oil City in Midland County. Jackson’s first festival was last year at Wheatland and the family plans on going to that festival in Mecosta County again this September, Sean said. Sara Q and the other members of Nobody’s Darlin’ started playing together as a “pet project,” Sean said, with most of the women taking on instruments that they didn’t normally play. Having never played the Salt River Festival, Sean and Sara were not sure what to expect. read more
