Britney called up her mom after she heard of the pregnancy and they spoke for a long time with Spears doing most of the talking, Pagesix. Britney and her mom have been estranged when her family forced her to go to rehabilitation against her will. She felt, and still feels, completely left out of the family. Spears is not allowing her parents to see her children. Britney needs to get over her petty family issues. Judd Apatow's Knocked Up , one of the best-reviewed movies of the year, crashed the kudos for the first time this season, thanks to the AFI. It joins Juno , the unplanned pregnancy comedy of the indie set, on the group's good side. Atonement , which led all Globe contenders with seven nominations, did not make the cut, presumably on account of its British accent. Oscar hopefuls such as Charlie Wilson's War , Eastern Promises , The Great Debaters and Sweeney Todd were eligible. Last year, three AFI honorees— Babel , Letters from Iwo Jima and Little Miss Sunshine —ended up in the Best Picture race at the Academy Awards.
